Tenant creation and management

Tenants are created in IPS Manager, however the IPS Server administrator does not have access to the data content of any tenant. Tenants are managed by administrator-level users, as controlled in the tenant management interface. A default administrator user is created when a new tenant is created, with username 'Administrator' and password 'Administrator'. The password for this default user can be changed, or login can be disabled, in the tenant administration interface.

There are no default names for a tenant. The name cannot clash with any resource path that is used by IPS Server. These are: 'admin', 'license', 'licenseserver', and 'monitor'.

Important: tenant names are not case-sensitive, hence a tenant named 'europe' can also be referred to by 'Europe' or 'EUROPE'. These are all the same tenant name.
